How it's made

Every Zoila piece is built in four layers, and each one has a job.

  1. Quality brass base: chosen for real weight and structure, not the lightweight alloy most fashion jewelry uses.
  2. Palladium barrier: brass contains copper, and copper migrates up through plating over time and dulls the finish. The palladium seals it away. Most plated jewelry skips this step.
  3. 1-micron sterling silver: several times thicker than the flash plating on cheap jewelry. More silver, more durability.
  4. Protective e-coating: a clear seal over the silver that slows tarnishing and preserves shine.

I love this necklace because it pretty much goes with everything I wear. It's just a simple necklace to throw on with jeans and a t-shirt to elevate it. The adjustable cord is so handy because it works with any neckline.
