Quality brass base: chosen for real weight and structure, not the lightweight alloy most fashion jewelry uses.
Palladium barrier: brass contains copper, and copper migrates up through plating over time and dulls the finish. The palladium seals it away. Most plated jewelry skips this step.
1-micron sterling silver: several times thicker than the flash plating on cheap jewelry. More silver, more durability.

The marina necklace is so simple and I love where it falls on the neck. It also has a lovely weight to it. I can wear it with anything.
